Proton therapy precisely conforms to the shape of the tumor, resulting in less damage the surrounding tumor and making it a recommended option with proven results for many types of tumors and cancers. 1,3-7

Patients who have reached the limit for standard radiation may also be candidates for proton therapy and additional tumors not listed can also be treated with protons. Pediatric cases can particularly benefit from proton therapy due to the decreased risk of long-term side effects, ultimately improving a child’s quality of life into adulthood.
